What is Excess Protect?

With Excess Protect you’ll get your excess refunded following the settlement of a claim by Motivo,

powered by 1st central

(excluding windscreen only claims) resulting from:

• Fire*

• Theft*

• Flood

• Vandalism

• An accident that was your fault

• An accident that was partly your fault

• An accident where you are unable to recover your excess from a liable third party within six months

* If you have opted for Third Party Fire and Theft cover, you can only claim in the event of fire or theft

You can choose from four levels of cover — £300, £500, £750 or £1,000 — and make multiple claims up to that value.

Excess Protect is only available as an optional extra when you first buy, or renew your policy. It cannot be purchased part way through your policy term.
