What driving licence information do I need to provide?

Driving Licence

• Please provide a copy or photograph of the front and back of your photocard.

• If you only hold a UK paper driving licence, please upload a copy or photograph of the front and back, showing the full page for both sides.

DVLA Unique Check Code

• Please provide a unique 8-character check code to allow us to check details of your driving licence.

• A code can be generated by visiting https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence . Follow the on-screen instructions to generate a code.

If you live within Northern Ireland and don’t have access to the DVLA website, please upload the front and back of your paper counterpart driving licence.

Please note:

• Your code can only be used once

• Your code is case sensitive (it may be easier to copy and paste rather than writing it down)

• If you can’t generate a valid code online, you can call the DVLA on 0300 790 6806 and they'll be able to provide a temporary code.

How to upload documents to Your Account:

1. Log in to Your Account

2. Click on ‘Documents’

3. Scroll down to ‘Information request’

4. Upload the document next to the relevant heading

You can then type the 8-digit code into the ‘Enter your check code’ input field within Your Account .
