When you use a price comparison website to get a quote, it's very common for car insurance providers to do a search on your credit history.

The search we do is only visible to you, Experian and TransUnion,

not

to any other lenders and isn't taken into account when making credit decisions.

As a result, if we provided you with a quote for car insurance, we'll subsequently show up on your credit report.
